Commissioning

Imagine your company’s name billed as the sponsor of a new work. Now, imagine how many times EDE will perform that work in the organization’s future.and in how many cities, states, and countries. Your company’s name will always be tied to it. In the world of dance, bringing new works to life is one of the most important accomplishments of a dance organization. Help make a difference in that world. Bring New Works to Life! Each new work requires a minimum of $3,000. This amount will fluctuate with various choreographers.

EDE Center’s For Dance

The EDE Center’s for Dance provides dance classes to more than 500 students aged 3 to 60, although the majority of students are elementary through high school aged. Class instructors are either EDE dancers or other local professional dancers. Sponsorship of this program helps fund instructors. salaries, costumes for the young dancers and year-end recital programs.

School Program Sponsor

Multi-week dance residencies occur throughout Michigan. Dancers work with school students in areas such as creative movement, jazz and modern. There are numerous EDE programs.

For the youngest students, there are fun interactive lecture demonstrations. Sponsor a school and help it bring EDE to its students with great programs, such as:

  • Kids ‘N Motion – Enable students to explore their creative potential.
  • Healthy Kids – Help fight an insidious epidemic, childhood obesity.
  • Mini-Motown in Motion – Introduce students to Detroit’s historic musical era through dance!

Support for dance education in local schools is waning. Your sponsorship dollars can make a lasting difference. Dance is an art that uniquely combines athleticism with art. While children are inspired creatively, they will also be busy staying healthy!

Sponsorship benefits are similar to those listed in the concert sponsor section.
